Collection of playscripts and letters by Jerome K. Jerome. Playscripts include The Master of Mrs. Chilvers, a typescript copy of Acts I, II, and IV, with autograph stage directions and corrections; Robina's Web, a typescript in eight notebooks, consisting of two acting copies. Also present is the Passing of the Third Floor Back, a typescript production book with manuscript notes for Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson's production of the play, which toured in England and America from 1908 to 1911. The book contains notes on all aspects of this production, including dimensions of various stages, lists of furniture and hand properties, lighting equipment, notes on music, cues and blocking for the performers and technicians. There are also seven letters by Jerome: a letter signed to Mr. Austin, 1922 Aug 14; an autograph note signed to Mr. Griffiths, undated; an ALS to Mr. Hill, 1912 Jan 28; an ALS to Arthur Machen, no year, Nov 21; an ALS to Mr. Musek, no year, Jul 5; an ALS to Mr. Pemberton, undated; an ALS to an unidentified recipient, no year, Jul 4.
